Most of those who have been thru Earthquakes fear the tremblers for the rest of their lives. And indeed there is something very unsettling about the ground, we once thought so sturdy shaking under our feet. It appears to play havoc on out belief system and feeling of well being and safety. Almost suggesting that nothing your life is safe at all and that in an instant it could all be over without warning.

Humans are not the only mammal which fears the ground shaking many notice bizarre behavior of their pets; cats, dogs, etc hours if not days before large quakes. They seem to sense the pre-cursory changes in the Earth's frequency and slight rumbling changes, probably because their paws are on the ground and they are use to feeling thru their senses which mankind has duly forgotten such skills.

During the Tsunami and Sumatra Earthquake animals started acting bizarre and retreated to higher ground along with non-modern civilized natives who were more keenly aware of such things. If all these animals and Indian tribes headed for the hills in fear, well you can be certain that you are not alone in your fear of the Earth rumbling under your feet and threatening your perceived stability and personal safety.
