Concrete Block Sealer

Author: Damian Sofsian

Concrete surfaces that have blocks in them suffer on account of high vapor-transmission rates. In such a case, having a Concrete Block Sealer is a good idea, as this would save the concrete from the effects of vapor transmission. The Concrete Block Sealer also helps improve the durability of the concrete, as well as reduce alkali disintegration.

Make sure that before you apply this Concrete Block Sealer the concrete is clean and raw. Also, in certain cases, the Concrete Block Sealers will also require you to wet the surface with water before applying the sealer. But make sure you dont over saturate the concrete, either. The sealer that you will be using for filling up the concrete block will tell you the number of applications required. In most cases this is about three, and the time that should be allowed between each application should be about an hour.

Once you are finished with the final application, wash it with the aid of the deck brush anywhere from 6 to 12 hours after the last application. This will help in the removal of leftover sealer. Be a little patient with the sealing. Give the Concrete Block Sealer 10 or more days before you decide to apply another sealer or a coat of paint.

There are different types of Block Sealers available. Some of them are also known to impart a great finish. This Block Sealer can easily bear the brunt of having people walk over it, as it offers great resistance. Even the removal of stains is easier with the Concrete Block Sealers.
